24 views of Australia by 11 contemporary photographers from around the country.
New Arcadia is a group show brought to you by Bleached Gallery. The exhibition deals with the often difficult question of what it is to be an Australian. It does so through the eyes of 11 handpicked photographers from across the country.
'The exhibition draws on the early colonial illusion of Australia as a Tropical Arcadia. Since then, there has been a clear desire to pinpoint a more solid idea of what is "Australian". In contrast, the exhibition encourages viewers to take a more personal approach.'
